I often feel and care so much or can’t sleep due to worry for another. And with that I spend a lot of time longing for a world and a time where all is well. A place of comfort and togetherness, a place of safety for everyone. And so I turn to my work. Where color and shapes know no judgement, where no matter how odd or different they are from each other, they coexist and fit together. It is the beauty in the new space you create when you sit down next to a stranger, or welcome new ideas into your home. There is always room for the new and the different and the good. This is one of the first painting to sculpture pieces I did. It changed a lot during the process but I really enjoyed taking a "sketch" and making it tangible.

Whoa! This is the first time I'm seeing it completed and in its entirety. It's been a long time coming, I have been working on it consistently throughout the Corona fiasco, but it originally started over a year ago and then lived in storage for a long time because I didn't have the room to work on it. She's 14' x 5' (I could've sworn she was more... This is almost as long as my studio) appliquéd fabric on fabric (hand stiched)
